I wandered lonely, not as a cloud
but a woman of many
lights through a prism
my pink, the underside of my tongue
the blue vein down my arm - my Waikato
gold flecks of light in my eyes
waiting for you my child - flying in
from half a world away
bringing the next generation
whom I may not see, only feel
as another heartbeat in your belly
My lover lies like an angel in my bed
I turn away wanting something else
the nameless, niggling of a distant memory
